On September 8, 2024, the Fall Poker Run, hosted by RRMMC with communication support from ARES R1D5, proved to be another outstanding event. This occasion was particularly special as it marked Wade Forbush’s (K0WJF) inaugural role as Mission Coordinator. Wade’s careful planning and passionate leadership were clear throughout the day. Despite the usual unpredictabilities, Wade adeptly navigated challenges and kept everything on track. His hard work and dedication were key to the event’s success.
The day also highlighted the efforts of 18 ARES R1D5 volunteers, whose commitment was crucial to seamless communication throughout the Poker Run. Their collective expertise and teamwork truly exemplify the ARES R1D5 spirit, which helped to further make the event run smoothly from start to finish.
