SUMMARY:Colorado State Simulated Emergency Test (SET)
DESCRIPTION:ARRL’s annual Simulated Emergency Test (SET) for Colorado is usually scheduled toward the end of October each year.  This nationwide exercise is the chance to test personal emergency-operating skills and the readiness of communications equipment and accessories in a simulated emergency-like deployment.  The ARRL’s Amateur Radio Emergency Service ® (ARES®)\, the National Traffic System (NTS)\, the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES)\, SKYWARN\, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)\, Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network (SATERN)\, and other allied groups and public-service oriented radio amateurs are among those who are eligible to participate in the simulated exercise and to practice emergency operation plans\, nets and procedures. \nThis year the Colorado ARES Section will organize a coordinated communications exercise for all Colorado regions and districts.  The scenario and injects have not yet been developed or announced.  The annual exercise promises to test our radio skills and equipment abilities.  We will operate from each of our served agency’s EOC and Hospital’s Emergency Radio room. \nIt’s a great opportunity to participate as if it were the real thing!  Time and duration of the event TBD. \nStay tuned for more information as we get closer to the date!  Please contact Training@aresdec.org for more details or to participate. \n \n\n\n	Related
