   a. We collect personal information from our members, including names, callsigns, locations, and contact details, for the purpose of maintaining accurate membership records and facilitating effective communication within ARESDEC.

2. Use of Personal Information:

   a. Personal information collected by ARESDEC is used for internal purposes only, including membership administration, communication, event coordination, and emergency response activities.

3. Sharing of Personal Information:

   a. We may share member information with our served agencies, including the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County Office of Emergency Management, Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, and Elbert County Office of Emergency Management, and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Colorado Volunteer Mobilizer (CVM) to facilitate effective emergency communication and coordination.

   b. Member information may be shared with other ARESDEC members through membership rosters. However, members are explicitly instructed to protect and keep this information private.

   c. Sensitive information, such as frequency lists and designated shelter locations, is considered confidential and should not be shared with others without the express written consent of the ARESDEC Emergency Coordinator.

4. Data Security:

   a. We implement reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

   b. Access to personal information is limited to authorized individuals within ARESDEC who require such access for the performance of their duties.

5. Consent and Control:

   a. By becoming a member of ARESDEC, individuals consent to the collection, use, and sharing of their personal information as described in this Privacy Policy Statement.

   b. Members have the right to request access to their personal information held by ARESDEC and to update or correct any inaccuracies.
