R1D5 along with several other regions/districts participated in a mini SET (Simulated Emergency Test) to help R10D3 demonstrate the capabilities of ARES and Amateur Radio to their served agencies in Lincoln County. The mini SET also served to prepare individual ARES districts for the upcoming statewide SET in October. The simulated emergency was based on a power grid interruption scenario. Modes of communication included DMR voice, HF voice, and email via Winlink.
