On Sunday, May 29th, Colorado ARES R1D5 provided safety communications for the Mad Gravel bicycle event in Elbert County. This was the second year that R1D5 has provided safety communications in support of the Elbert County OEM. R1D5 provided communications from the communications trailer located at the Start/Finish, aid stations on the courses and rovers.
We were able to avoid some of the small rain showers that popped up in the afternoon.Front to Back: Walt (AB0VZ) was NCS, Dick (WB0EVA) was ANCS and Bill (KF0CWS) was MC.
