DESCRIPTION:Join us for the ARESDEC December Face-to-Face meeting on Thursday\, 12/7 at 19:00 at the Douglas County Sheriff’s substation in Highlands Ranch. Remember December’s Face-to-Face meeting is earlier in the month than normal.\n\nKnots for ARES and Amateur Radio\nBe there for a knotty evening (see what we did there?) as our own Perry\, W6AUN presents ten knots for ARES and amateur radio work. Perry will take us through a few basic knots and will also demonstrate some cool knots you might knot have seen before. All his knots have practical applications for ARES and with a little practice\, you’ll be able to put these knots to work for you. You cannot knot be there.\n  \nShelter Operations \nSecond\, Hal KE0KFB will present “Shelter Operations”\, a panel presentation covering expected Winter ARES missions\, expert advice to maintain readiness\, special considerations for Winter activation\, Vehicular/travel safety\, Shelter Operations and Communications. We will discuss Shelter rules as it applies to ARES activities and conduct while deployed at a shelter\, Communication practices to adhere to deployed in a shelter and much\, much more. \nAs we approach the winter season and the possibility of shelters being activated\, we need to know how to deploy with confidence\, competency and clarity in our mission. \nSee you December 7th 1900 hours MDT.
