Elbert County ICP (Incident Command Post) Training

Elbert OEM and ARES have agreed to a date for ICP training that is required for those working volunteering to work the 2024 Elizabeth Stampede ICP. Other Elbert County EOC-badged ARES members are welcome to attend the ICP training even if they are not working the event.
Training Time:    1900-2100
Location:         Elbert County EOC, 751 Ute Ave., Kiowa CO 80117
Purpose:          The ICP training will prepare ARES members to monitor and operate public safety radio systems during the 2024 Elizabeth Stampede to enhance Life Safety, Incident Stabilization, and Property Protection.
Training Overview:Â Members will be familiarized with the Elizabeth Stampede EOP (Emergency Operations Plan), Public Safety radios, and ICP procedures including monitoring radios, maintaining Situational Awareness (SA), making Calls for Service, and reporting anticipated adverse weather to rodeo officials.
