DMR Hands-On Workshop

Each Spring, ARES R1D5 members assemble together to help each other update radio firmware and DMR code plugs in preparation for the busy schedule of events we support each year.  We share tips and techniques to improve our understanding and use of DMR.   Finally, we work together to test our DMR radios, code plugs and troubleshoot any issues we might find.

We will meet at 0900 and break out into separate rooms based on a limited set of radio manufacturer / models, and with the help of to notch “Elmers” standing by, we will upgrade code plugs, firmware and troubleshoot any issues we are having with our DMR code plug.

So mark your calendar and bring your HT / mobile radio to the workshop.  Hopefully you’ll leave with a radio that is ready for the upcoming season of planned activities and possible activations.

We will meet in the Youth Room 144 to start and break out to other rooms based on need and attendance.
