ARESDEC Presentation to American Legion Post 82 – Elizabeth, CO
February 22, 2025 @ 09:00 - 11:00
On February 22, 2025, ARESDEC members will participate in a presentation to the American Legion Post 82 in Elizabeth, Colorado regarding what ARESDEC is, our mission, our services, the served agencies and communities we serve. As an all-volunteer public service organization, we are made up of FCC licensed and trained Amateur Radio operators who provide their own equipment to perform communications services for community events and in times of emergency.
The Amateur Radio Emergency Service of Douglas and Elbert Counties (ARESDEC) is one of 28 ARES districts in the state of Colorado. For more than 30 years, ARESDEC has been serving our community in times of emergency and disaster by providing volunteer communications services to public safety agencies and support organizations (i.e., American Red Cross and Salvation Army). We are a service organization comprised of amateur radio operators who donate our time, equipment, and expertise. We train our members to use best communications practices to effectively assist our served agencies.
If any ARESDEC members wish to participate in this presentation, please reach out to Operations@aresdec.org or W0KDE@aresdec.org.
