Scout Jamboree at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch

ELBERT COUNTY SUPPORT REQUESTED FOR SCOUT JAMBOREE (27-29 SEPT)
We’ve received a request from our Elbert County Partner Agency to support the event IMT/ICP for the 2024 Jamboree of ~3,500 Scouts at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch. We understand this huge multi-Council camping event is held at Peaceful Valley about every four years.
The EOP (Emergency Operation Plan) is at an early stage, but appears the cross-functional ICP will be “up” round the clock for three days while thousands of Scouts are camped out. This will be a big deal for Elbert County with evacuation shelters designated and even the School District on standby to use their many buses for evacuation if required. It has not yet been determined where ICP will be located (i.e. local fire station, EOC, etc.).
