We completed another successful ARESDEC Field Day! We moved to a different site for 2025 due to non-availability of the site used in previous years. We were setup at Hess Reservoir located at 9343 Double Angel Rd, Castle Rock, CO 80108. It was a picture perfect weekend. We operated as N0KV 3A CO.
The new site had a gravel parking lot so we didn’t worry if it rained, it didn’t. Lots of room for RVs to maneuver and get setup for the exciting weekend. We had plenty of participation in getting setup. We were setup before noon on Saturday. The BBQ dinner Saturday evening was enjoyed by all in attendance,and is always a favorite to look forward to each year. Ron N0IVN provided a great technical presentation on Portable and Compromise Antennas and everyone learned something they can use in the future.
We had incredible 360 degree views situated next to the Hess Reservoir nestled between Castle Rock and Parker Colorado. Take-off angles were great and everyone was successful in making contacts from far away locations. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the Field Day experience.
